Following on from the Relaxed screening at the end of May, I thought it would be a jolly good idea if a bunch of us met again in June for a spot of lunch and some good ole fashioned conversation.
So, with that in mind on Saturday, 11 June I propose a group of us meet on the ground floor of The Barbican (main building) outside a cafe/restaurant called (rather imaginatively) ‘Barbican Kitchen’ from 12.30 pm (please do not worry about arriving promptly for 12.30). I will be mindful of trying to find a quiet spot, though with it being a weekend day this cannot be guaranteed.
Timings: I will arrive at 12.30 pm and the event will then last approximately 2 hours until around 2.30 pm, though times are not fixed.
Bonus: After tea/coffee and lunch, for those who may be interested there are two free Barbican Library exhibitions (Level 2) currently on display …
The British Blues Exhibition: https://www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/2022/event/british-blues-exhibition Located within the Barbican Music Library, as described, this exhibition charts the evolution of a musical movement known as the ‘British Blues Explosion’.
Drawn Blank: https://www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/2022/event/drawn-blank-a-barbican-library-exhibition Showcased within the Barbican Library, this exhibition is said to explore the relationship between gender and drawing, and could also be worth a look at.

As always, it will be great to see a few familiar and indeed not so familiar faces come Saturday, 11, and do feel free to bring a friend/facilitator as ‘+1’ too if you so wish!
