The next exciting installment of the London Autism Film Club is a group Netflix Party watch along of NOTES ON BLINDNESS (2016) @8:00 pm on Monday 10 August 🎥 🤩
NOTES ON BLINDNESS (90 mins) is a sensory documentary on the writer and theologian John M. Hull’s descent into total darkness after decades of steadily deteriorating vision. The film will end at 9:30 pm.

Theme: Aside from the strength of its story or overcoming adversity, the film has been chosen in relation to possible connections between autism and blindness. We will be using the Netflix Party plugin for Netflix: https://www.netflixparty.com/
The screening link (Netflix Party) for the film will be posted to this page and in the comments section 1 HOUR before start-time, so check this page out beforehand!
To get set up for Netflix Party, you need the following:
A laptop or desktop PC. 💻 Unfortunately, it does NOT work on mobile devices or tablets.
You MUST have an active Netflix subscription.
Google Chrome MUST be installed.
Once you have installed Google Chrome, Follow the on-screen instructions here to download Netflix Party (a browser extension for Google Chrome): https://www.netflixparty.com/ (will appear in ‘extensions’ when you go into browser settings cog wheel)
Click the link provided by the host (yours truly), then click on the NP icon in the top-right corner of your Google Chrome browser, and the chat screen will open. (This is very important – you must be able to see the chat screen otherwise you have not joined Netflix party yet!)
You can amend your username and avatar on the top right corner.
Once set up, everyone involved can watch simultaneously whilst text chatting, but if you do not feel up to entering the anonymous chat then no worries, just sit back and enjoy! 😎
