‘In The Bleak Midwinter’. In a bid to beat the winter blues, this is another (perhaps overdue) Saturday Social for fellow citizens of the autistic and neurodivergent flavour to come together in a relaxed, comfortable space for tea / coffee and good ole’ fashioned conversation.
And so, without further ado I cordially invite one and all to came along on Saturday, 28 January to London’s cinema HQ, the BFI Southbank from 3 – 5 pm at the BFI’s ‘Bar & Kitchen’, located on the ground floor (to the right of the main entrance).
As with previous socials, I will try to ensure I find a nice comfy, cosy corner for the group to convene, though this cannot be guaranteed (this is likely to be in an area towards the back of the Bar & Kitchen space opposite the Mediatheque).
Checking the programme of events for that date, there is a screening at 3:10 pm and another two at 4:10 and 4:15, though no others over this period. It is likely that this will translate in it being less crowded than perhaps later on in the evening after say 6pm.
To give an idea of the space, the cafe / bar area is quite spacious with plenty of comfortable seating (sofas, armchairs, etc.) and ambient lighting:

Please also see further photos included below of the seating area for a better idea on the space and dimensions, and there is a map too below.
I look forward to seeing all you lovely humanoids on Saturday, 28 and feel free to bring a friend or facilitator as a +1 as well if you like!
