Coming up this July is the concluding feature in a three-film series of Relaxed Summer screenings running on the last Monday of the month at London’s BFI Southbank.
Entitled Natural Connections, the series has explored difference and the sensory effects the ambient sights and sounds of nature can have upon both body and mind, with the last film in the firing line being the pulsating drama ELECTRICITY (NFT3) at 18:15 on Monday, 25 July!
This series has been curated in direct partnership between Citizen Autistic: The London Autism Film Club and The British Film Institute.

Synopsis: Like an ‘Electrical storm that starts in my skull’… Those are the words Lily (Deyn), a young woman with epilepsy, uses to describe the sensations experienced from sporadic seizures – here vividly illustrated with surreal, hallucinatory visuals. The Epilepsy Society were advisors on the film.

POST FILM INFORMAL CHAT: As before in May, this is an opportunity post-film to share thoughts and opinions on the film – an informal and inclusive facilitated discussion led by myself as the founder of Citizen Autistic.

Discussion Timings: TBC, though likely to be around 8-9 pm. Will be confirmed closer to the time. NB: As with the other two screening discussions, efforts will be made to make the environment as comfortable as possible, with the lights dimmed and comfortable seating (armchairs, padded seats) provided. There will also be signage throughout the space immediately outside the discussion area leading from the screening room along the first-floor space to aid navigation.
