Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less. – Marie-Curie
Ciao, all you lovely, human-shaped Citizen Autistics,
With Autism Acceptance Week having now passed, folk may be looking ahead to see what other autism-friendly events there may be to mark on their iCals. Well, it just so happens that running between 30 May – 25 July is a three-film series of Relaxed Spring screenings at London’s The BFI Southbank to whet one’s appetite for quality film fare!
The series as a whole will explore difference and the sensory effects that the ambient sights and sounds of nature can work upon both body and mind, and first up is FREQUENCIES (AKA OXV: THE MANUAL) at 18:10 on Monday, 30 May at the BFI Southbank (NFT3).
This series has been curated in direct partnership between Citizen Autistic: The London Autism Film Club and The British Film Institute.

FREQUENCIES (AKA OXV: THE MANUAL)– Synopsis: This enigmatic sci-fi is set in an alternative reality where frequencies emitted by the human brain determine future outcomes. Free will is questioned as a handful of young people gradually realise that difference is a strength to be harnessed, rather than a weakness to be concealed.
