IN PURSUIT OF SILENCE – Synopsis:“Silence is a source of Great Strength.” ― Lao Tzu
A contemplative, richly sensory documentary on humankind’s millennia-long fascination with silence and its supposed healing properties for both body and mind. Shifting in time and space between the deserts of 3rd Century Egypt and the frenzy of modern metropolises, the film shows that true silence has long been pursued yet remains just beyond our grasp.
POST FILM INFORMAL CHAT: As before in May, this is an opportunity post-film to share thoughts and opinions on the film – an informal and inclusive facilitated discussion led by myself as founder of Citizen Autistic. This is built into the overall event schedule and open to anyone who has booked.
Location: The Blue Room – (First Floor): https://www.tagvenue.com/rooms/london/17635/bfi-southbank/blue-room
Discussion Timings: TBC, though likely sometime between 7:45 – 9 pm.
NB: As with the first screening discussion, efforts will be made to make the environment as comfortable as possible, with the lights dimmed and comfortable seating (arm chairs, padded seats) provided.
