Theme – The Full Spectrum: Autism on Screen
These films/videos have been consciously selected as they all closely involve folks on the spectrum in the filmmaking process, both as cast and crew members. Here are short synopses for each:
• Brain Journeys (38 mins): Documentary short following performance poet Anthony Fairweather as he retraces his steps visiting locations in the UK which have significance to him and his life. Preceding this short will be three micro animations that also feature in this documentary.
• Keep the Change (15 mins): David has autism, but he prides himself on not being rigid, “like that movie Rain Man.” He enjoys chasing women, offensive humor, and “exclusive clubs,” but he comes to reevaluate “normal” when he meets a new love interest at a support group.
• Mildly Different (04 mins): Teaser trailer. Christina struggles to feel accepted, hindering her ability to progress, until the kindness of one person changes her life and restores her confidence.

Thanks once again all, and I hope to ‘see’ you there in the Matrix on Wednesday, 18 November!
Again, please do RSVP to this event page if you wish to join, just so I get a good idea of the numbers 😊
